Wakare to Deai! Unmei no Hoshiboshi no Ryuuten
A Farewell and an Encounter! The Destiny of Flowing Stars
Small summary:
The episode starts with three dark silhoutes talking with each other in hushed voices. They are talking about the one person who they need to find and assure each other that all will go right. Doors push open, and as they step into the light we see the Threelights step on stage.
Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako have already found out about the new super idols, and are obvious fans of them already. But it's during their swooning over the trio that Usagi finally reveals that Mamoru is leaving to study abroad in America for at least a year - and even though Usagi promised herself to see him off with a smile, she can't stop the tears from falling when she bids Mamoru farewell at Tokyo International Airport later on. Loud commotion that comes from the Threelight's countless fangirls distracts them for a short moment.
The following day, Usagi & Co. witness another commotion due to the Threelights, as the three are filming in a nearby park. Ami, Rei, Makoto and Minako all somehow manage to butt their way to the front of the crowd so they can see the actual filming, while Usagi doesn't. She instead goes off to try and sneak off to the restricted area. But Seiya who's lying on a bench near said restricted area stops her, telling her she's not allowed to go any further. While he obviously still remembers her from the airport, Usagi doesn't, and also disappoints him with not knowing who he is at all.
Still swarming over the filming of "Z-Files of a Detective Boy Holmes", the Inners never notice that a new enemy has appeared: Sailor Iron Mouse, who has attacked the actress Alice Itsuki for her starseed. Upon finding her starseed to be a blank though, she disappears and lets Sailor Moon deal with the phage Sailor Pretty. Not wanting to hurt a former human being, Sailor Moon refuses to attack the phage. It therefore takes a new senshi to stop Sailor Pretty from attacking Sailor Moon: Sailor Star Fighter. But Sailor Moon steps in between the Starlights and the phage as they now want to kill Sailor Pretty. Sailor Moon reminds them that the phage is actually Alice and a good person, but the Starlights explain that once a human becomes a phage, they cannot be saved anymore. But Usagi keeps protesting until her powers grant her a new attack: "Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss" allows her to turn Sailor Pretty back into Alice.
Seiya and Usagi moments:
Usagi's and Seiya's first meeting ever is on Tokyo International Airport. Usagi is there to accompany Mamoru to his plane while Seiya is trying to escape his rabid fangirls. They walk past one another and catch each other's eye immdeiately; but that first meeting seems to leave a bigger effect on Seiya than on Usagi, as he is obviously fascinated and transfixed by that blonde girl walking past him, her shine and appearance strong and alluring.
They lock gazes for a moment, making Seiya stop in his tracks. Usagis look at him over her shoulder for a mere second, before both go on.
Later on, they meet once more when Usagi (against Luna's advice) attempts to sneak into the restricted area of the filmset, and Seiya tells her to stop making a nervous Usagi apologize immensly. While Seiya still recognizes her from when he saw her at the airport, Usagi on the other hand is very clueless about ever having met him before. Seiya is slightly disappointed for not being as popular as he thought to be, as Usagi thinks him saying that he's popular is just a new way to approach girls. Seiya laughs as he gets up from the park-bench he's been sitting on up to now, before leaving for the restricted area (making Usagi tell him that he isn't allowed there either ^_^) himself, telling Usagi that she's a funny girl. As he leaves, he calls out "See you soon, Odango!" (making it the first time of many that he calls her so).
Anything else?
I'm by means not her biggest fan, but Ami is definitely adorable in this episode. For who else would know such things as "Z-Files of a Detective Boy Holmes" reaching an average rating of 35 % ? I also love the Inner's jumping up and down scene, when they try to see the Three Lights over the huge crowd gathered in front of them, as they're real cute.
