DoCoMo TV-CM: "Magic Box: Coming Soon" + January 1, 2008

 The newest DoCoMo 2.0 campaign isn't nearly as flashy as the first, but perhaps that is a good thing. The cast sports a much more elegant style that is calm, open, but just as fun as the bright flashiness that occupied the first part of the campaign. Dubbed the "Magic Box" campaign, the new lineup of the 905i and 705i contains 75 different colors with 23 new models.

  For the first group commercial of this new campaign, Keiko teams up with Tadanobu Asano as his magic show assistant. Keiko and Asano don matching outfits and with a slight of hand (and some green screen effects) Asano's head transforms into a that of a dove! The entire commercial wraps around Satoshi Tsumabuki's adventure with his new 905i phone. He first meets Eita who is riding his bike through an imaginary city. His phone morphs and he is talking to Aoi Yuu in France! "Bonjour!" she says through a can wire phone. The phone morphs again and he's tuning into  the Magic Box TV show. It's an awesome commercial that is a grand change of pace from the fast, flashy, and fast paced music of the first part of the campaign.

   Along with the new style comes new shows and giveaways associated with the 905i and 705i launch thanks to an awesome Winter campaign. Remember of the Summer campaign where DoCoMo customers got chances to win all sorts of good stuff, such a paid vacations and cute DoCoMo charms for their phones? Their chances come again with this Winter campaign that travels all over Japan giving people the basic goods and special sneak peeks for the 905i and 705i launch.
