Greatest Rumor EVER! + January 17, 2008

  Ever Keiko fan knows that there is at least one rumor out there connecting her to a JE (Johnny's Entertainment) Boy. First there was that ever so large rumor connecting Keiko to JE hottie, Yamashita Tomohisa. Then there was the much lesser known connection to one of Yamashita's best friend, Kamenashi Kazuya. And who can forget the short lived connection to yet another JE boy, Jun Matsumoto? All of these have been proved false (the Yamapi rumor is SO much harder to kill and it's the oldest!)

  I did once say that if Keiko ever dated a JE boy the best one for her would be Ryo Nishikido (who just happen to be another close friend of Yamashita) because he's the least flashiest and looks great in glasses. And in previous post ("Chill Time + January 15, 2008") I did say that my next wish was for Keiko to work (preferably in a movie) with one of my favorite Japanese actors. Ah, my intuition strikes again! Slightly off---but OMG---I'm GOOD! According the latest rumors circulating Japanese and English forums, Ryo Nishikido is due to star in another drama---and Keiko is listed as a co-star! Now while this has all yet to be confirmed (and judging by the airdate presumed for the drama, it won't be confirmed for a while) below is information on this drama! Credit to Mannie511in the forums for the heads up and Lina for the name of the drama so I could do some research! Remember: THIS DRAMA IS UNCONFIRMED so as of now IT IS JUST A RUMOR.

Drama: Tsurumoku Bachelor Apartment (ツルモク独身寮)

Cast: Ryo Nishikido, Keiko Kitagawa (*squee!*), Asami Mizukawa, Yuki Tokui, Koutaro Tanaka, and Shinta Furuta

Synopsis: Shota Miyagawa just graduated from high school and has left his hometown to work at the famous Tsurumoku Furniture Factory outside of Tokyo. In the company dorm, Shota rooms with Tabatake, the oldest and most obnoxious resident, and Sugimoto, the in-house Casanova. With these two roommates, Shota is constantly caught in awkward situations.

  Definitely a comedy! A few sources says Keiko has the role of Natsumi Nanase. It's unclear whether that is a lead or supporting role, but again, it's all unconfirmed. According to the Japanese Wikipedia, Tsurumoku Bachelor Apartment is originally a manga by Eisaku Kubonouchi. It was adapted into a movie in 1991, made into a Taiwanese drama in 2003 and is "EXPECTED to become a drama starring Ryo Nishikido and Keiko Kitagawa in 2008" ---meaning this rumor was out and about since last year and Keiko could have the lead female role.

  It's a NTV drama due to air Tuesdays at 10pm. Although there are two start dates listed by different sources, April 2008 makes Tsurumoku a Spring drama!

WHY THIS COULD BE FALSE
   Ryo Nishikido is one busy kid. When he's not doing drama work he's a singer in two JE bands, NewS and Kanjani 8. This includes, photo shoots, promotion, TV appearances, and concerts. I read somewhere that someone heard the drama was set to star Shun Oguri and Erika Toda---except Shun Oguri is quite a busy bee himself, between dramas, theater work, and movies. Also, most sites that feature information on this drama are blogs, which leads one to believe it's a rumor spread among Ryo fans. There are no official sites that vaguely mention the drama, and none of the actors listed in the cast have the drama listed on their official sites either.
  
WHY THIS COULD BE TRUE
   Lots of times information about dramas are leaked long before official sites confirm it and a lot of the time it starts in fan blogs for a particular talent featured in the drama. The drama is also based on a manga that's been adapted before, so it's not like someone is yanking the story from their rear ends. JE boys are famous for multitasking, so while it make take some energy out of him, Ryo is more than capable to perform in two bands and film a drama. Also, as of now, Keiko's schedule is basically clear. And with the drama setting to air in April, (at latest, July) that is outside the three month span that DB predicted Stardust might have given Keiko to catch up on her school work.

BONUS MATERIAL
   I'm not going to lie, I'm so madly in love with Ryo Nishikido. I'm not obsessive---I know nothing about about NewS or Kanjani 8, I don't own any of his music (he plays the guitar!), I just know that he is the sweetest little thing I've ever seen, I like that he seldom dyes his hair and never looks like he spent more time than me to get ready to go out. He always looks laid back, has a pleasant smile, and is a pretty quiet character--though there's no doubt in ones mind that he's a nice guy. If indeed this information is true and Keiko is going to star in a drama with him then I am one happy camper! Below is an interview with Ryo about his idea of love. WARNING: Guys avoid the following, you might get jealous and girls---prepare to MELT and giggle uncontrollably! Q1. How long does it take you to fall in love?
I fall in love immediately! If I’m going to fall in love, I can normally decide from my first impression of someone.

Q2. When do you invite them for a date?
First, out for a meal I guess. It’s easy to ask someone out on a first date to eat a meal. And since I’m shy (lol).

Q3. If you had a fight with the girl you like, what would you do?
“I’m sorry [Gomen ne]” I’d apologize. If even one bad part of me showed, I’d properly apologize.

Q4. The conditions for someone to be your lover?
Being together is fun. This is really pretty important to me, someone who I can think about as fun to be with.

Q5. What fetish are you?
Tank top. Not camisoles, I like tank tops, just for some reason I like them.

Q6. What kind of food do you want a girl to make for you?
An ordinary side dish is fine. Since a side dish, I guess Japanese style food is good. Though I’m skilled at that too (lol).

Anything is fine! Really, anything is fine (lol)! “Ryocha~n” or “Ryo-ta~n” it’s fine (lol).
