DoCoMo 2.0 no. 1 CM Campaign for 2007 + January 31, 2008

The results are in! 2007 was full of huge commercial campaigns in Japan. Some were very successful and others fell flat. A columnist on J-cast decided to ask which commercial campaign had the most favorable public  image in 2007. Well I can tell you one thing, the campaign chosen did feature the lovely Keiko. Can you guess which one it is? As if it isn't obvious enough....

DoCoMo 2.0 was voted the number 1 most favorable public image commercial campaign of 2007. In fact, other than this pole---DoCoMo 2.0 has been topping best commercial charts since people voted in late December of last year. People liked how the cell phones commercials related to ones daily life in a fun and interesting way starring eight of the best celebrities. Their favorite commercial pair up? Guess! Lol, Keiko and Tadanobu, of course! The "Who'd that Guy?" commercial was among people's favorite of the DoCoMo 2.0 series. The average target age for polling on this was 17 so DoCoMo 2.0 was really popular with the young crowd! As for the older sort, people wondered if a commercial campaign could be called successful if people hardly bought the product. Interesting---how many phones DID DoCoMo sell and how many new service members DO they have? Interesting indeed. Although DoCoMo 2.0 was meant to be loved by the older sort as well (hence the age range in the actors chosen) it seemed to have only appealed to the younger crowd.

Oh well, congrats to DoCoMo for a number 1 commercial campaign. Kudos to Keiko---DoCoMo 2.0 was a VERY aggressive  campaign that totally boosted her recognition by the Japanese public.
