Chill Time + January 15, 2008

   *Ahem*, so what is Keiko up to for 2008? Well, when I was done ranting about Keiko's sucky management team, DB kindly pointed out that Keiko is still a college student so she could very well be catching up on work she missed during the filming and promotion for Mop Girl. And I know what you're thinking, "There are plenty of other college student celebrities who are still spewing projects left and right, why can't Keiko do that?" Well, one cause she's just not the average celebrity (duh) ---no, but really, Keiko made a promise to her parents that she would graduate from college before fully pursuing a career in the Japanese entertainment industry (see: Keiko Kitagawa-Elements of an Actress). I completely forgot about that *sheepish* so I guess the girl most certainly deserves a break especially after such a successful year. And you know Keiko, she hasn't half-assed anything she put her mind to and I believe out of respect for her parents (so strong in the Japanese culture) Keiko will pass to the best of her abilities.

   This is assuming, of course, that this is what she's up to.

  Anyway, at least she's able to relax. Although we no longer have the luxury of her blog anymore (*sighs* RIP kitagawakeiko2006) thanks to a lovable close friend of Keiko's, Kazuha, we know Keiko has been shopping and chilling and being as much of a normal 21 year old who is currently on her way to becoming top actress as possible. ^_^ So for all of you who've been e-mailing me, fret not! Lol, even though DoCoMo 2.0 is coming to an end, at least it's ending largely with Keiko. So far for 2008, here's where we can hop to see Keiko:

   And that's it as of now. It's small. Okay, so miniscule it could barely show up as a blip under the Japanese entertainment potential superstar radar--BUT patience is a virtue! I've been wicked right with her career moves, I pat myself on the back for that. When I was hoping for a new commercial I got DoCoMo 2.0 and COFFRET D'OR and when I was hoping for a drama (people in the forum know how crazy I was about that) I got Mop Girl. Right now I'm hoping for a new movie where she has a big role with one of my favorite Japanese male actors that's highly anticipated and could give her a real career boost. I know----a LOT more specific and wide spread than my first two hopes---but a girl can dream, ne?

   So what will happen to IKK in the meantime? Well I'm not going to update if there's nothing new, (duh), at least that's what I thought at first. But there are still older sections of IKK that need to be reorganized and revamped so I'll work on that. I'm also back tracking on the goodies so be on the lookout for translated cover stories from Keiko's modeling days, scans from old magazines by Izzy (hopefully, hehehehehe, no promises I remember....) and new graphics. Maybe I can even spew out a new layout for the main site as well as the forums. So this is the chill time---enjoy the best you can. In the meantime IKK will be here---so feast your eyes on aspects of the site you've never checked out before. It might be outdated, but you'll find something you like!
