Subject: DEAR FRIENDS

(I asked David Chart to take pity on me, because this entry was driving me insane. He responded with "It's the most complex thing she's written for ages..." Naturally, since he took care of the hard points, you have him to thank for this text, and I thank him for saving my sanity.)

I appeared in an article in Sankei Sports of Sports Hochi this morning!
I'll be playing the leading part as Rina in the movie "Dear Friends" based on author Yoshi's original work!

Rina is...
Rebelling against her parents and her school teachers, with no hope in this world.
Having no purpose in life other than wearing gaudy make-up and fashion, going to clubs, spending time with men, and hanging out at Shibuya.
Thinking that people who trust others will be betrayed.

"Friends are to be used", she thinks.

...that kind of girl.

This never at home, never at school, always seen chatting in Shibuya stray cat of a high school girl is suddenly struck by a disease. She meets a friend, Maki, played by Motokariya Yuika-chan, and a young girl fighting against her disease, and little by little changes. It's that kind of story.

Actually, the Rina before she'll get sick is just like I was at age 17-18, with a very similar way of thinking, as I was surprised to find out when I got the script.

Me in high school also couldn't bear being told things by people called "adults", and I also thought I didn't need to rely on other people or friends even.
Not relying on people, having no trust in people, the world is going to hell, I could die any moment.
Today there seem to be lots of young people who think similar to the way I did at 17.

Having become 20 already, having joined the adults, I mustn't live a solitary life, I mustn't shut myself in but be open, those are my important beliefs.
I've become able to think that way.

Right now there are youngsters who are sick of this world, who get angry with adults, who think friends are just pretend, who think that the only thing that can fill in the hole of their loneliness or bury the reasonless irritation they feel is a man's body heat, or who think "shall I end this life soon?". This movie is one I'd really like them to see.

Reading the script, I reaffirmed that one shouldn't give up on the world.

Youngsters who want to die now are truly suffering, and I understand that feeling all too well.
Therefore I'm not going to forcibly stop you, or coerce you, saying "Suddenly change like Rina!".
But, once some time has past, I really think that you will understand some things.
Living can be difficult, but it can be fun once in a while too.
Afterwards you will undoubtedly think "Why was I that troubled?"

There are also people whose lives are snatched away by disease without reason.

I want suffering youths to choose the courage to live, rather than the courage to die.

... That became unusually long;

The movie will be released in February♪

And, and, the I finally start filming tomorrow!
It's a difficult role, but I'll throw myself into it, therefore when it's finished please enjoy it everyone☆
The photographs show rehearsals with Yuika-chan♪

Subject: SENENTEEN graduation

(Two long entries in one day, it reminds me of the early days. :-) All this text means that there may be more errors than usual, so you'd better reread it all tomorrow when I hope to have gotten corrections. Note that it's always a good idea to reread the previous entry (or entries in this case) when the next one comes up. Now working on the second...)

Welcome again! It's Kitagawa.

I have something to inform you of today.
As those of you who've seen SEVENTEEN today may already know, for me, Kitagawa Keiko, the SEVENTEEN on sale today will be the last. I'm graduating from the magazine I've been an exclusive to!

We came a long way, three whole years, it surprises me to say.
When all of you voted me to become an ST model, I was already 17 years old, so at first I was a late starter compared to the other girls, which made me impatient to be frank.

Given my age I wouldn't be there for long, I thought, but thanks to everyone's support I was able to continue appearing on the pages of the magazine since my introduction up to my twentieth year.

All my fans, people of the editorial department, cameraman-san, beautician-san, stylist-san, light-san... and innumerable other people who supported me in the time I've been allowed to stand in front of the camera. The gratitude I feel is enormous.

Everyone, thank you truly.

Leaving the place I've gotten used to, facing new objectives, I'm brimming with aspiration and energy.
On the other hand, I'm so anxious that it hurts.
Starting something new and feeling anxious come hand in hand, I realize that fully.

But with everything I've learned from the editorial department in my three years as a model, and with the support I got from all my fans as sustenance, I will hope to progress as the actress I aim to be.

In conclusion, to all who've been reading ST for me up till now, thank you very much.
And, please continue to favour SEVENTEEN.

Subject: H interview & dance lessons

I had an interview with "H" magazine today!
I like H magazine with it's beautiful photos, so I was quite happy!
I'm showing a lot of personal possessions, so when it's on sale please have a look♪

I'm spending my time lately rehearsing every day for the sake of the movie that starts filming soon.
Today, after the interview, I had dance lessons.
The Kitagawa Keiko of the next movie will be dancing all the way! 笑
Dance isn't my strong point, so I'm doing my best desperately at rehearsal + practising at home.
I'll "up" more details about the movie sometime in the future.

Aah. As I thought the movie is great! I'm having fun!

... By the way, I'm declaring another visit with Kazuha to Germanium today :)
After this also, for the sake of my beauty and my health, I plan to continue going once a week ♪

Subject: Satorucchi

Co-star Suzuki Shouhei-kun.
His nickname is Satorucchi, and also "Sumo stew chubby". 笑
Just having Satorucchi around brought harmony on the set, he soothed everyone.
He was a splendid for his grim role, but he's a really nice person in reality :)

While filming, when I got tired, rubbing Satorucchi's belly made me well again.
Thank you Satorucchi.

I went for the first time! Germanium!
My stiff shoulders relaxed in 30 minutes! Wonderful.
As expected you know about health, eh, Kazuharin?

It seems to be good for 24 hours, so I plan to go there every week from now on☆
Looks like I'm into it :)

Kazuha gave me a souvenir from USJ today, a strap♪
It's snoopy. Cuuute♪
THANX!!

(A strap is used to attach trinkets to your bag or mobile phone.)

Subject: Naoyacchi

He's a cheerful and really amusing guy♪
Despite being busy with AAA's activities, he put the same enthousiasm into the movie, which was really inspiring.
He was always telling jokes making everyone laugh, and he gave CDs & DVDs of AAA to the members...
He's a really nice person, eh? :)

Thank you for also inviting us all to a-nation♪♪

Subject: HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kazuha☆

I made a visit to Kazuha a few days ago☆
Because September 1 was Kazuha's birthday!
Congratulations♪ Now we're both 20 years old♪

Kazuha and I are really close friends, so once every three days we absolutely had to have a meeting :)
The spots where Kazuha & Keiko often appear:
● A café (mostly Starbucks. To have long talks.)
● A massage parlour. (We both have stiff shoulders... Next time we plan to go to a stone sauna.)
TSUTAYA (We're hermits.)

On her birthday we indulged in eating and buying clothes♪
We went so far to buy matching clothes! 笑
Hey, hey, Kazuha. By doing so, doesn't it look like we're lovers? 笑

Subject: Yuu

Co-star Koyanagi Yuu-kun.
His nickname(?) is Yuu. Just as it is.

He may look like an adult, but he's really only just 18.
Being cheerful, he's the relentless Mr. Never-give-up on anything.
He was like a younger brother.

In the drama I ad-libbed him as "the long-haired pest". Sorry♪ 笑
That's what my Nao kept saying all the way through.

Subject:  Ryou-chan

Co-star Kimura Ryou-kun.
His nickname is Ryou-chan.
We often got caught up in talking about books, music and DVDs.
I learned about RADWIMPS through Kimura-kun. It's J-POP, but really cool♪

For his age Kimura-kun already has an adult composure.
As can be expected for the role of the intellectual :)

Subject: MARIS

(Just in case this wasn't clear: The time above is Japanese local time.)

Thanks to the bathing products Beautician-san gave me for my birthday,
I've gotten hooked on bath oils and bath salts lately! (The photo is from the Kitagawa bath chamber.)
Every day with a "Which one today?" I'm having fun selecting♪
Herbal aromas like lavender let you sleep well, so I think they're my recommendation.

My Heat Island involvement is now safely over, so I could change my hair style again.
I chose a bright colouring, and my overlong forelock has been snipped!
The MARIS colouring product contains collagen, so it won't damage your hair at all♪
Do you like my new hairdo?

Nogurin gave me Josiane bath products today♪
Thank you, Nogurin!!
Josiane shampoo and conditioners are wonderful, so I love it♪
