Subject: Bridget Jone's Diary

Yesterday I saw both "Bridget Jones's Diary" and "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" in succession! Hugh Grant!!!!!! is cool! Such elegance.

...So I thought to just watch a
DVD
before the test; I have to start studying seriously for the test soon.

I've gotten worried about Komachu, whose physical condition and voice have gone bad recently, cause unknown... She was in the middle of filming with her voice gone bad, which depressed her, as I can well understand. It's irritating that I can't do anything to help... Don't give up, Komachu!!

Previous mentions of Komatsu Ayaka: "Japanese-American cooking" calling her Komachu, and "LACMA" calling her Komacchan. Ayaka-chan keeps a diary of her own, and sawai fan has started translating it recently, so read all about her troubles in this IKK thread. Sawai fan is also translating Azama Myuu's diary, and of course the one by Sawai Miyuu.

Subject: Love Actually

Last night I saw "Love Actually" that I had rented.

I rented it because Keira Knightley, who I like a lot, appears in it, but it was so interesting that I saw it twice! I now love all the actors and actresses who appeared in the movie.

Especially Hugh Grant is cool... What's cool about him is the way he speaks, that's very cool. British English, their tone of voice, and their pronunciation of the "t" is what I like. As in
David bowie's songs, but the often used "Absolutely" sets the English person's image.

For this English beginner, British English is much easier to understand than American English. American English is made difficult by fast-talking, slurring, and many omissions and abbreviations :(

When I went to America for the first time, "
What are you going to do?
", came across as "warayougonnado", so I always went "...??". 笑

I wish I could understand it better.

Subject: Diet

I went to English conversation since a long time! Not once did I go after I returned to Japan, so I got out of form. What I had trouble with became even more troublesome... As an excuse, if you only speak Japanese in your daily life, then English will naturally deteriorate, right? ... I need to study more;

On a different subject. Lately I've started drinking one 500ml bottle of "Contrex" water with "Lactobacillus Labre" daily, however... my stomach is happy! 笑 Contrex is more expensive than regular water, but apparently it does me good! As it's hard water you may or may not like it... I drink the Labre because my Mama recommended it to me. The taste is... a bit sour, a bit sweet, ginger like, soya like, apple like, and carrot like. 笑 People looking for diet results rather then taste, please try it ☆
Keep it up and it'll change you!

Subject: The boy who followed his dreams

(Remember, text in this font was originally like that! Your "translator" had it easy.)

I've started reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho today. I've only just begun, but it's interesting already! It's about someone who's lost his way in life, but hasn't given up on following his dreams. I really like to read about such a person. There's also a Japanese version, so by all means!

Let me talk about a book what I'm reading now. Just started to read this today-"The Alchemist" written by Paulo Coelho. This one is what one of my friend recommend.

Once I started I just read and couldn't put it down. I was attracted by the story. I'm reading on the very first page-it described the boy who ventures from his homeland in Spain to north Africa in search of a treasure buried in the pyramids. I don't read the whole book yet, but I'm sure the story is gonna be incredible...

By the way what books have you read recently? Let me know the books you recommend reading.
I guess my English is awkward...hope my fans can understand what I want to say!

Subject: Heat Island

(Links are all to Japanese sites.)

I'm finally reading again since Da Vinci. Kakine Ryousuke's "Heat Island". It has many pages, but I could read it entirely, because it's amusing, so I recommend it. Onda Riku's "February Moment" came out in a pocket edition today, so I got it. Reading is fun ♪

Even if you don't like reading, Da Vinci was very interesting, right?

(Onda Riku's book's Japanese title means something like "Turn of the Screw". How you get from that to the given English title "February Moment" is anyone's guess. I also wonder why a Japanese book even has an English title too.)

Subject: Watching Soccer

Yesterday I received an invitation from Nogurin to come to MARIS after closing time to watch the soccer game with the staff.
Nogurin has a jersey with his name on it. 笑 He had arranged for a Stones T-shirt for me! Waaai! Thanks, Nogurin. I still don't know the rules or the names of the players, but when it started I watched in earnest. Miyamoto... I hadn't paid attention until now, but he's cool, eh? (Miyamoto, like Keiko, is from the Kansai district.)

Ah. Personally I was happy that Yabe-san was on-screen so much! I'm a long time fan of Yabe-san. He's cool. His fac
e is that type. ("type"???) I like Yabe-san's well-timed tsukkomi. It's never futile, truly. ("futile"???) Everyone eating dinner together while noisily watching the game was fun. That and seeing Yabe-san made it a nice day :)

... Even though they're nice,
MARIS, TSUTAYA, the university, HMV, Book 1st
and the company seem to be the only six choices I have for places to visit. My range of motion is so limited :(
