Holy Flaming Dumpsters, Batman!

Lol Some one thought it would be funny to light the dumpster on fire last night. They totally incinerated a couch, and a whole lot of cardboard. xD Its not great, but here is a photo of the firemen putting it out in the smoke/steam.




Also, my catellite dish is doing well, albeit stone out of her skull from the buprenex. I gift you with another image.

Bad Kitty!

So, as some of you know, my cat got spayed a week ago. Well it turns out that saturday night, she chewed out one of her stitches, and licked her wound so hard it almost became infected! So I had to call the vet, and the vet (who is a really awesome lady) came in to the office on sunday to take a look at her. Good thing I caught her when I did, cause if she had licked anymore, she would have torn out her the stitches on the inside too! She almost gave herself an infection as well, so now poor kitty is wearing a cone, and gets Buprenex, AND antibiotics. Poor kitty. =( She has a checkup on friday to see if the rest of her stitches are ready to come out. Chances are, they won't be, but the vet wants to see her either way. And on that note, I leave you with an image of my Catellite dish!

Well... My little Lilith is at the vet now for her surgery. Its only a spay, but still, I'm nervous out of my mind. Its the longest my baby has been away from me in months. And the longest she's been away from her sister since.. well.. she was born. I'll be getting a call form them after she gets out of surgery at 1pm to let me know how she's doing. And if all goes well, I can pick her up between 5 and 7pm. Thats almost 12 hours out of the house. =(

May 13th marks the 4th year since my mother passed away from Cancer. This is why smoking is bad for you. She smoked when I was younger, and it killed her. She got cancer in her lungs, and it spread to her brain. It looked like she was doing well, and was finally regaining motor skills after suffering a stroke caused by all the chemo and medication, and then she developed a tumor in a place that was impossible to treat without killing her, so she died at the age of 58. It was agony for me to watch such a strong and vibrant woman waste away like she did. I still beat myself up for distancing myself from her like I did at the end, when she probably needed me most. Its not something I can forgive myself for doing. Please think twice before lighting up that next cigarette.

Holy shit!

So, I'm just sitting there, watching TV, minding my own business, when all of a sudden I hear POPPOPPOP POP. I look out the window, cause I thought it was the neighbors kid, shooting off fireworks, the door slams next door. Didn't see anything, went about my business. All of a sudden, Rich started getting paranoid and peeking out the window. Then a cop car pulls up. Then another and another. And the k-9 unit! Apparently a woman who used to work here had an argument with some one about an event that happened here before me and rich lived here, and this guy she was arguing with tried to shoot her! Holy shit, thats insanity. Luckily she's ok, didn't get hit or anything. Nothing this crazy has happened here before. I mean, you get the occasional car speeding through the complex, and some vandalism (spray painting on signs, or the dumpster) but no violent crimes. Luckily, the next door neighbor was outside and saw the whole thing. The cops got the guy only minutes later. Thanks goodness for fast piggies. <3 Tampa police. They let a lot of things slide, like tickets, and seat belts, but they know when to pull it into gear. Good job guys!
